JQuery Week?

It's not very often that I do a link blog, but I've come across so many great JQuery links in the past week or so that I had to get them all down:

  • First off, the JQuery UI wiki has a great list of Essential Controls, both in the UI library and links to plugins (via Delicious Popular Bookmarks).
  • Steve Reynolds' Top 10 JQuery Plugins for Form Usability covers 10 JQuery plugins that make web forms more usable, such as tooltips, user name availabilty checker, and validation.
  • Speaking of tooltips, BeautyTips (demo page) is a beautiful tooltip/balloon tip plugin for JQuery.
  • Although I can't use DevSnippets list of 15 jQuery Plugins to Fix and Beautify Browser Issues right now, it makes for interesting reading to see how developers tackle the mismatch in CSS standards support and other presentation foibles between browsers.
  • I came across Benjamin Sterling's nice-looking Portfolio Layout Idea Using jQuery last month, and I'm keeping it bookmarked here for a future project.
  • JQuery Sparklines is a JQuery plugin to produce tiny, cross-browser charts. Very cool (had this on the radar for a while too, for a possible future development).
